Every month we have a “stall of the month”, a free stall we give to a charity where they can raise money for their charity and raise awareness of what they do.
RNLI
RNLI lifeboat crews protect hundreds of communities around the UK and Ireland through our 24-hour search and rescue service. To do so, they rely on the safest, most reliable lifeboats and modern stations to launch from. Volunteers from the RNLI, came to the Marchnad to sell RNLI Merchandise, they were so happy with the response. Find out more about volunteering through their website:
Epilepsy Action
Jan from the group came along to show some short films and information on the types of seizures and how to deal someone having one. An interesting Q and A session was held at the end of the session. Nantlle Vale Band
The Nantlle Vale Royal Silver Band has been an important cultural resource in the Valley since 1865 – the name at that time was ‘Penyrorsedd Band’. The band was one of the first brass bands to build its own purpose built bandroom. Based in Talysarn and the band are raising funds to repair and update their historical building.
1St Caernarfon Guides, Brownies and Rainbows
Several girls form Dyffryn Nantlle are members of these groups in Caernarfon learning new skills and having fun. They held a teddy tombola to raise funds.

Mon and Arfon Stroke Club
Several residents of Dyffryn Nantlle access the Mon and Arfon Stroke Club where they travel by community transport to Bangor for a lovely lunch and chats. A fantastic resource! Their fundraising was a tombola where everyone won a secret prize. A brilliant idea.
Siop Galwch Acw
The shop is based in Caernarfon and all craft items are made by adults with A.L.N. Call in for a cuppa and browse their stunning seasonal items.

Friends of Talysarn and Nantlle
A community group for the villages of Talysarn and Nantlle. They have been very welcome at the Marchnad to raise funds for their projects.

Antur Waunfawr is a social enterprise providing care, active support, training and meaningful work opportunities – effectively and commensurately to meet the needs of adults with learning disabilities as well as disadvantaged people locally.

Samaritans
Volunteers from Samaritans Gwynedd came over with a Chocolate Tombola to raise money towards this special service. One had come with a listening dog and was a big draw for their fundraising efforts. They offer support and listen to people and communities in difficult times.
Samaritans train others to help in schools, hospitals, prisons and in the railway system.
Every suicide is a tragedy and Samaritans are fighting to overcome this by working tirelessly to reach more people and make suicide prevention a priority.
Cwmni Cwtin
This group was formed to raise funds to improve the standard of the Cwtin football and playing field in the ‘West End’ in Penygroes. Eluned the secretary and her husband came to sell raffle tickets. Really great prizes were available and at the end of the morning the buyers were eagerly anticipating the results!
Talysarn Celts
Our fundraising table this month was Talysarn Football Club. Rhian and her daughter sold raffle tickets, sold Club merchandise – hats, scarves, and sweets were a big draw for the children! We hope they have made a lot of funds for the teams.
